Terms of Service

Plain-language terms for using Wordaro. Written to be read, not skipped.

Last updated: June 5, 2025

Important: Passing Wordaro validation does not constitute legal, regulatory, or compliance certification of any kind. See Section 4.

1. What Wordaro Is

Wordaro is an AI output validation platform. You submit AI-generated content to our API or playground; we run it against deterministic rules you define and return a structured pass/fail result with violation details and scores.

We are not a legal advisor, compliance certifier, or regulatory authority. Wordaro is an engineering tool. Passing validation does not mean your AI outputs are legally compliant, safe, accurate, or fit for any regulated use. You remain fully responsible for the outputs your systems produce and deploy.

2. Your Account

To use Wordaro beyond the free playground, you need an account. You must provide a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and API keys secure and for all activity that occurs under your account or workspace.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to enter into this agreement. By creating an account you represent that you meet this requirement.

One account per person. Sharing credentials or API keys with users outside your organization violates these terms.

3. Plans, Quotas, and Billing

Free accounts receive 100 validations per month with access to the playground only. No REST API access is provided on the free tier.

Starter ($19/month) and Pro ($49/month) plans provide REST API access, higher monthly validation quotas, and additional workspaces as described on the Pricing page. Plan limits are enforced automatically — when your monthly quota is reached the API returns HTTP 402. Quotas reset on the first day of each calendar month.

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. Prices are in USD. We will give at least 30 days' notice before changing the price of an active plan.

You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Access continues until the end of the paid billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law. If a payment fails, your account reverts to the free tier.

4. No Compliance Guarantee

This is important. Please read it.

Wordaro validates AI outputs against rules that you configure. The platform makes no determination about whether your AI system, its outputs, or your use of those outputs complies with any law, regulation, industry standard, or certification requirement — including but not limited to GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, FDA regulations, financial services regulations, or any other framework.

A validation result of "pass" means your output satisfied the rules you defined. It does not mean your output is legally compliant, medically safe, financially sound, or appropriate for any particular use case.

You are solely responsible for determining whether your AI outputs meet applicable legal and regulatory requirements before deploying them.

5. Acceptable Use

You may use Wordaro to validate AI-generated content in your own systems and workflows.

You may not: • Use the service to validate content that facilitates illegal activity • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the service • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas, or authentication • Resell, sublicense, or provide API access to third parties as a service • Use the service in any way that violates our Acceptable Use Policy at wordaro.com/aup

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice, and without refund.

6. Your Data

You own the content you submit to Wordaro. By submitting content, you grant us a temporary, limited license to process it solely for the purpose of returning validation results to you.

On the free plan, no validation results are persisted — results are returned in the API response only. On paid plans, validation results (not the content itself) may be stored to support dashboard features.

We do not use your submitted content to train models, share it with third parties, or retain it beyond what is necessary to operate the service.

7. Service Availability

We aim to keep Wordaro available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or a specific uptime percentage for any plan.

No SLA is provided for Free or Starter plans. Pro plan customers receive priority support but no contractual uptime guarantee unless separately agreed in writing.

We are not liable for losses caused by service downtime, API errors, or third-party infrastructure failures (including Supabase, Vercel, or Stripe). If an extended outage affects your paid plan, contact us and we will consider a credit at our discretion.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Wordaro's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including lost profits, data loss, business interruption, or damages arising from AI outputs that passed or failed validation.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, that validation results will be accurate for your use case, or that the service will meet your specific compliance requirements.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Wordaro after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

If you disagree with a change, you may cancel your subscription before it takes effect.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
